HARRY’S SMOKER VALVE SET #SMO001. Theory of operation: At full throttle the average pressure in the engine crankcase is much greater than that in the muffler. This differential in pressure is used to force the smoker fuel (normally kerosene or number 1 diesel fuel) from the tank into the muffler. Pressure from the case passes through the valve into the tank. Since pressure in the tank is now greater than that in the muffler, fluid is forced through the valve into the the muffler where hot exhaust gasses cause the kerosene to vaporize and be forced out the exhaust pipe. Closing the valve shuts off both the pressure and the kerosene lines, thus the tank remains pressurized and when the valve is reopened, fluid is immediately pumped to the muffler. – Functional innovative product.
