CV means that the joint is so-called homokinetic or synchronous . The homokinetic joint enables the transmission of revolutions between the shafts at different angles while maintaining a constant angular speed. This means that if the motor has a constant angular velocity, the wheel also has a constant angular velocity. That is why homokinetic joints are used in automotive half-axles. Standard cross joints are generally not homokinetic . CV half-axles significantly improve driving characteristics and reduce stress on the drive system.
